Information you provide

DooDoo Log stores the details you choose to record: bowel movements, notes, water, fiber, symptoms, and supplements. An account also uses your email address and profile details, including your username. This information supports signing in, keeping your history, showing statistics, and sharing entries when you choose to do so.

Guest mode and cloud accounts

Guest entries are stored on your device. They don’t sync to another device or automatically move into an account when you sign in. Removing the app or losing the device may remove those entries.

When you use an account, the app stores your account details and health entries with Supabase, its authentication and database provider. Account features need an internet connection. Service providers may process technical information needed to operate their services, such as connection and request logs.

Friends and sharing

Signed-in users can search the profile directory. Your username and profile information are separate from your health entries.

An accepted friend can read a bowel-movement entry only when it is marked for sharing. Private entries, supplemental health records, and personal summaries are restricted to your account. Removing a friend stops future access through the app; it cannot remove copies that person already saved.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, the iPhone app can read selected Apple Health data and write supported health entries. The permission request identifies the data types. You can change those permissions in Apple Health or iOS Settings.

Apple Health records are stored separately from your DooDoo Log cloud account. Deleting the cloud account does not automatically remove records already written to Apple Health.

Optional AI commentary

The web version has an optional AI commentary feature. When used, it sends the entry’s Bristol type and notes through a Supabase function for processing with Google Gemini. You can leave this feature turned off. AI commentary is not a medical diagnosis.

Deleting your information

Use Profile to find the deletion controls. Delete Data clears bowel-movement logs and keeps the account; it does not currently remove every supplemental record. Successful Delete Account removes the sign-in identity, profile, cloud health entries, and friend connections.

Guest entries on a device, records in Apple Health, and copies already shared or exported are separate. If a deletion request fails or its result cannot be confirmed, retry instead of assuming it completed. Supabase and other providers may retain service logs or backup copies under their own retention practices.
